Facing Our FaultsA Poem by Sam Freelandis not easy
An act we like to complain about is likely one of our own faults If we face the truth and change fault-finding might get results
It takes a fool to know one
we have heard this for many a day What we know is what we've done that's how experience has its say If we begin the day by observing and stifle our complaints We will see in the faults of others how to apply our own restraints We have learned that life's not easy not well understood by the young We will face a host of new problems until the last song is sung If we concentrate on improvement we could possibly find success Better to be part of the solution than being someone knowing less Words as usual are like air their effects are usually thin They come and go like vapors not what we need to begin It is never about what we write or even about what we say Some action is called for, my friend finding the solution is the only way The way to perdition is easy effort is a bit more sound What we need to do is our best its all even saints have ever found © 2009 Sam FreelandAuthor's Note
