good and bad

 

Everyone knows

that bad news travels fast

its usually about those

who couldn't make it last

 

Good news is much more

of a private affair

being what lovers can do

to show how they care

 

If you know of some good news

you can give someone joy

don't keep it to yourself

when there's happiness to employ

 

If the bad news comes your way

you might consider what it may mean

you could use it to help allay

something you do that's not so keen

 

Adults suffer every time

that they try to avoid the truth

their actions keep repeating

what is done by an unknowing youth

 

Will this practice ever stop

before it is too late?

possibly when they consider

how it will affect their fate

 

It is difficult to change our ways

when we have done this for years

but for those who love us it pays

if we can prevent some of their fears

 

As I write these suggestions

it is obvious what it means for me

I must improve what I do

and I am sure you will agree
