Anyone can create a life

beyond the years they were alive

in the memories of their friends

their spirit will survive

 

This life can have no end

to be passed along forever

hopefully not just some wealth

or the way that you were clever

 

When you touch someone's heart

with caring and consideration

the memory they will have

will survive to a new generation

 

This is not about gaining fame

or hatred derived from your anger

it is about creating some hope

others can use to live longer

 

Wise thoughts you have learned

are the intelligence others seek

some of the best ideas they will read

come from those who have been meek

 

Choose some examples to share

not beyond what they can do

it gives the necessary motivation

for them to do this too

 

That is really the greatest gift

from anyone who wants to give

it can be passed along to others

in their valiant effort to live

 

If you do this now for a child

it will be seen in a better light

with each effort that you attempt

eventually you will get it right
