Defining Success

that gives satisfaction

Knowing real success

is based on what you have done

getting there with someone's help

is a practice one should shun

 

It leads to bearing false witness

and surely everyone will know

with this loss of real satisfaction

it is never the way to go

 

The truth of this dependency

may not be felt for many years

what will happen in the future

will be the likelyhood of tears

 

If whatever you plan to happen

leads to any kind fame

it will tarnish the dependant

who then will feel the shame

 

These problems can be avoided

when you grow by your own design

it may not happen so quickly

but it will make your effort shine

just reflect on what happened to me
