Dreams

 

The glory of our dreams
is so much like self praise
we soar into the heavens
 helping our spirits raise

 

The places to which we travel
may brighten those who read
giving them vicarious pleasure
as for them we take the lead

 

It is what writers do for us
when our spirits can't do this too
our readers might learn how
if they would write us a review

 

What we learned by writing
was how to express a feeling
the more that we tried to say
 made our words more appealing

 

No task is very hard
when it gives you satisfaction
it gives full meaning to your life
and a joy filled reaction

 

An unabridged dictionary
and a good thesaurus
helps us find the words
describing feelings we've had

 

Now is the time to begin
tell me what you think I've said
soon you too will be writing
about what you have read
