Candy changes kids
as it helps them grow fat
they learn in those early years
the need for sugar and all of that

 

The tastes of every human
are learned before they know
the conditioning will be permanent
forever telling the way to go

 

The causes of our problems
lie in what we haven't learned
we need knowledgeable parents
who exercise more concern

 

From the home to the schoolroom
the story is much the same
what children learn from mother
will be a blessing or a shame

 

As obesity gets much worse
in a society with so much wealth
there is behavior so perverse
it is ignoring children's health

 

When will more parents
wake up to the truth?
will they ever learn the causes
of the fatal sweet tooth?

 

Sugar dulls the appetite
for protein rich meals
 children need these foods
for which their body appeals
