Alice

Alice

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

helping me live

"
When Alice gives me the needle
I know she is doing her part
what she does with a smile
always helps my heart

Her professional help
is not about love
it is her technical help
that is given with a glove

Every day at work
she helps seniors exist
without her help
we would soon be missed

She knows that we need her
to tell us about our blood
as long as it stays thin
it won't turn into mud

When she stabs me
with that cute little machine
I know she isn't
just being mean

It is a shared enterprise
because what she will find
will help me be more wise
she is always very kind

When it is your turn
to get help from Alice
give her a smile
she deserves nothing less

A positive and kind poem. Alice must be a sweet and kind lady. The medical field can get a bad rap. But the many kind people who take care of us when we are sick or need help. I do appreciate them. I like the ending. I hope you give this poem to Alice. I know she would appreciate. A excellent poem.
