What is Love?

What is Love?

A Story by Sam Freeland
"

Laker

Rosalind wrote on page 112 of 'This Shining Land' the

wisest statement about love and relationships that

I have ever seen:

"I've lived long enough to know that love is not

perfection. It would be a dull affair if it were.

No, it's the flaws that give it meaning and

make it worth the struggle.

I wouldn't say that you and Steffen

are ideally matched. You're both too strong-

willed. Nevertheless, I'd like to see the two

of you spending the rest of your lives

together. I think you'd never lack interest

in each other and that's the lasting source

of love."

Can this be said to you about the one you love?
