Nature's Beauty

Nature's Beauty

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

appreciated by some

"
Nature

Seen by the eyes as fact
some enjoy its inherent beauty
others viewing how it dies
to them it speaks of death

So much in one's past
dictates what we will see
if one has known of beauty
this is what nature will be

Eyes speak to different minds
none having the same view of life
if a mind has spent time reading
it may see more beauty than strife

To consider what we see
may be helpful to how we act
more important is who we will be
if death is our primary fact

To think we have total control
of all that we will do today
is forgetting the past we have lived
and what it still has to say

If our past has enjoyed nature's beauty
there may be more joy to come
if we have concentrated on nature's death
there will be less joy for some

Not hard to see it's your choice
of the future path you will choose
listening to nature's beautiful voice
there should be much less to lose
