Nature and Religion

how they support each other

the love of nature by poets
has helped them to find truth
our being cognitive in nature
and through nature we find God

 

truth must exist if only in our minds
our praise of God is mental
this is what our religion finds
it  is so humanly essential

 

we wait for man to employ
this elemental truth
that is why so many believe
in what religion can induce

 

though the brains of some men
have created hell on earth
it has given rise to the belief
that an eternal hell has worth

 

when the hell that was invented
by some religions for man
they still needed an evil satan
to be part of their plan

 

now they are using satan
to scare the hell out of men
telling them he will take them
back to hell with him

 

since man is a part of God
truly a unity to believe
the real truth comes from nature
it is from nature that we receive

 

nature is reality so complex
that early men had many gods
to help them better understand
how to survive in an unfriendly land

 

 

today men have better minds
searching for the truth
one would hope their religion finds
a way to understand couth

 

when religion uses its power
to create more hell on earth
they destroy nature with wars
and so much that has worth

 

when one chooses to join
the love of nature crowd
they will likely find their true god
and what nature has endowed
