Our Search for Meaning

Our Search for Meaning

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

in a world of hidden truth

"

What anyone believes
is the reality for them
No other person can know
where the believer has been

In a universe complex
the source of life is the same
It may not have been sex
that began life's game

Though the physiology is known
life might not have begun there
Other forces have been shown
to affect the life we share

Though the truth of our beginning
may have a history of sin
When sages talk about sinning
ask them where they have been

The meaning of life
requires much more to learn
So far beyond our ability
to ever discern

If you like being confused
you can listen to the sages
You may find you've been used
reading many of their pages

So those in the know
have chosen what to do
Their choice is doing their best
its what you could try too

You have such insight and wondering. A perceptive mind you have.
Our search for meaning comes from the many lives we have lived, loved,
and even through death, we see with vision.
