Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

may come

"

what is it about tomorrow
that holds such promise for some
are their plans any different
so they can will it to become

little is known about will
though most have a good idea
the mind holds many truths
to which we can appeal

wondering about the will
feeds the poets appetite
the chemist likely believes
that DNA can tell what's right

the difference you can see
is the essence of the search
the chemist looks at atoms
some poets go to church

what can a hopeful person do
living with the daily grind
is it possible to will
some happiness to find

you know best about your need
does it include tomorrow
have you learned a way to earn
so you have less desire to borrow

as you carry out your plan
include some thought about will
you have more power than any man
to make tomorrow fill the bill

Lovely as always Sam,,, simple truths served up on a plate of green leaves, quite simple but so much to think about =)
