Hurry

is hurry a sign of worry?

is your need to hurry
on the drive and at work
precipitated by worry
or have you gone berserk

 

the urge that makes you fly
we will never know
maybe you don't even know why
you have to hurry so

 

so much of life is missed
in the hurry to get there
we know calm is not on your list
leaving you some time to share

 

any time we need to talk
you have something else to do
since you run and seldom walk
it is hard to ever reach you

 

how you use your time
is certainly up to you
a smile will be fine
but that frown will never do

 

to savor the joys of life
takes thought about what you do
its the speed that causes strife
so there is less joy for you

 

there are those who have found
the wisdom in slowing down
by taking the time to get around
they enjoy a life more sound

 

it  has been said that those in a hurry
are going somewhere to sit down
if hurry is the cause of your worry
it might help if you could slow down
