Poems are often written
to set the record straight
Good poems are welcome
when they eliminate hate

 

People are not hateful
or describe themselves this way
What people really want
is to live another day

 

Death is a part of living
and that is a fateful truth
We have all wanted long lives
since our early youth

 

When there is not much to see
in our future when we die
But others will have a memory
of how we wanted to try

 

Whatever we did was something
why we did it we don't know why
But we tried to have a useful life
so don't anyone call it a lie

 

Everyone has their religion
and religion fulfills your soul
Living always with strong beliefs
bad things won't take their toll

 

Fear not for the future
get busy enjoying today
You still have much to live for
it helps if you learn to pray

 

By not fearing the end
you are treating life like a game
Play it with all your energy
it is the best road to fame
