Bad Opinions

Bad Opinions

Bad Opinions Lead Nowhere

This poem is written
to set the record straight
I knew I had to write it
because it documents my hate

I am basically a hateful person
and it colors my every day
Poetry should speak of love
and being happier in every way

Often with my disagreements
I have tried to call it truth
In reality it was bad opinions
and being disappointed in my youth

I ran away from problems
so I could say I wasn't wrong
Only to realize later
I had been wrong all along

I became an unhappy loner
always looking for new friends
This led to many problems
and a search that never ends

Belief in their shared religion
solves the problem for all I know
But I fought the concept to often
thinking it was the wrong way to  go

I have never trusted prayer
it just wasn't my need
The real truth about praying
it is truly vital indeed

Now I really fear the end
more than ever before
I need to try loving our God
more than ever before
