Less or More

Less or More

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

is your choice

"
When you can get it for less
you may want to converse
But if it costs more
it is just the reverse

We make judgements every day
too often not thinking twice
The value of most things
is not just the price

Take the example of living
when rich is much more
But money didn't stop the pains
you have had so often before

Value requires judgement
not easy to learn
And judgement requires years
of exercising concern

You can see there is dependency
in everything we do
If you are not too dependent
you may learn what is true

Word games are mind games
that live in the active mind
Don't despair in its absence
you never know what you will find

One thing is for sure
you have had this poem to read
It will exist forever for others
if they choose to take heed

Forever has value
in our universe so bright
Have yourself a happy day
and also a restful night
