future problems

 

Everyone knows the expression
so typical of someone old
Or are you just forgetful
forgetting what you have been told

 

If the loss is something important
it causes a pain we must endure
But forgetting where we lost it
is called absent-minded for sure

 

Starting a new task
when the first is not done
Can require us to search
for what before was begun

 

The search can be maddening
when what was lost can't be found
Blaming someone else for the loss
is really not very sound

 

Retracing your steps
is the first thing to do
What you see as you look
will jog your memory too

 

When you find what was lost
if there was someone you blamed
You will need to forgive them
or its you that should be shamed

 

Whenever we face the truth
we solve an important need
Our mind will become clearer
this poem is about the need to read

 

Suggestions about how to correct
the forgetful conditions abound
I am trying to remember one
but not one have I ever found
