Two Poems

Two Poems

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

shared love

"

Money makes the world go around
or so the saying goes
How much you'll need in a lifetime
no one really knows

For richer or poorer
are words in a marriage vow
Is life easier without it
I really can't see how

To say you can live on love alone
some will say is not  fact
Commitment, trust and caring
are vital in your pact

If we're lucky to have a little
 of everything mentioned above
We'll walk through this world
forever growing in true love
;-)

...

Its not about spend or save
but all about your plan
Do you like to use money
because it says I can

If the answer is Yes
you will find a way
And when you look back
it may not make your day

Money is an excellent
median of exchange
But all should understand
its value will change

Exchanging love
has a different virtue
Harder to understand
and even confusing too

Money can be obtained
without commitment or care
And when we give it back
we are still going nowhere

Spending is too easy
and soon its all gone
You wonder where it went
or was it you that was wrong

The relationships of love
can last forever and a day
When it includes a commitment
in a very sincere way

Exchange is that commitment
which every lover soon learns
And then possibly receive
those beautiful returns
