Mood

Mood

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

or moody

"
Our mental condition
mirrored by the mind
Self described attitude
moody not kind

Search as we do
for how to improve
Our quality of life
it is our next move

Internally difficult
registering the past
Trying valiantly
to make good times last

External analysis
so often wrong
Pulling up by the bootstraps
hopeful in song

Reflection is there
to see or not see
Future attitudes
will be or not be

Gathering memories
of those brighter days
So important
to the way time plays

Pick one of the best
and let it play out
The better the memory
will avoid being without

Attitude will improve
as you greet a friend
So valuable a connection
don't let it end

Hard to maintain a good mood. We must try for the sake of the people around us. Always good to read your poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
