Choiceless Future

Choiceless Future

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

for some

"
Living life as it happens
is truly a waiting game
Choices mean very little
repetition always the same

The past will happen tomorrow
familiarity comes for sure
New choices take a back seat
no room for any cure

Forget about the future
nothing for you will improve
It will only be useless choices
with any hopeful move

Life's questions have no answers
solutions would end up wrong
Any question would be a waste
proving you do not belong

Eat whatever you want
all food goes to the same place
A smile with every morsel
the best way to save face

Nutrition is no problem
since all food tastes the same
Health never a criterion
life is just a waiting game

When wisdom is an accident
with everything we wanted to do
Just eat what is available
time will pass quickly for you

All of this is your future
creating habits that are wrong
Avoid doing every item
unless you really do not belong
