A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

enjoying words

"

those who write
 have much less to hide
the words that they use
tell us what is inside

speaking of love
asks us to read
of their hope to have
the closeness they need

if nature is the story
we know they have seen
life in all of its glory
and their love of green

when hate gets a mention
a dark passion is told
using this invention
their works will get sold

the best kind of praise
is reserved for them
who know how to raise
a lot of mayhem

every reader wants more
of the tales not heard
in what was written
by others before

if you like to write
find the words to use
that will likely incite
or light someone's fuse

you will probably ask
what makes me write this way
you likely believe
i had nothing better to say

while that is not the truth
my intent should be clear
due to my long lost  youth
there is nothing to fear
