Missing

Now you have gone
carrying my love away
Missing I feel the pain
there is little more to say

 

I've tried many things
nothing will bring you back
The prayers that I utter
only magnify my lack

 

Missing those you love
must be a special case
Try as I do every day
my sorrow I cannot erase

 

I can't believe there no one
who can share with me what we had
I look forward to finding her
and not feeling so bad

 

Life is full of substitutes
what else is there to do
My only hope for the future
is someone who needs me too

 

I have long ago stopped crying
though that helped for a while
Crying was only a weakness
and have to withstand the trial

 

The mistakes I made to cause
the unhappiness for you
Were no excuse I know
I believe you will be happier
with someone who  cares more
for you
