Giving

Learning about giving
is an act of early life
Our mother helped us do this
she was Dad's loving wife

 

She gave us everything
it was good to be alive
Now return the favor
and do your best to strive

 

As the meaning clarifies
our working daily to live
Our life will be fulfilled
if we learn how to give

 

Failing this important task
of helping others in need
Our life will have less meaning
as many have long agreed

 

We indulge in special moments
giving smiles to our soul
Postponing the sharing
and suffering the certain toll

 

Two have much to give
as each opens a new door
Giving and sharing
so much more than before

 

Begin this very moment
and usher in a new plan
You know that you can do it
its the true meaning of I can

 

Poems are for lovers
first you and then the other
Giving that special greeting
to the one we call brother
