Whenever love becomes
mere acquisition
Your caring will suffer
some serious attrition

 

Do you really believe
you can take all you want
Leaving nothing to achieve
while caring you flaunt

 

Such behavior is seen
in too many today
Acquiring is not keen
if that's the way you play

 

To really love fairly
and plan what you do
You then can believe
there is a future too

 

There are so many ways
to give and receive
Any time this happens
there is far less to grieve

 

The example you set
for many others to see
Will bring happiness to them
and make us all more free

 

Freedom and caring
will help everyone find
The love that they wanted
by being more kind

remember love is a gift
