Notsogreat Grandfather

Notsogreat Grandfather

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

your legacy

"
Once the kids marry
you never can tell
Will the future be good
and turn out well

If all of the things
you tried to do
Turn out wrong
don't fret about it too

Life will be our mystery
that will happen some time
Capture it if you  can
in a bit of rhyme

Great grandfather
is a title given for free
Just between you and me
you may not live to see

However you feel about it
it can happen any time
Is it what you did
or your family's crime

Thats because we repeat
what others have done
We will likely copy
what or family has begun

If things turn out bad
you need to remember
A new year is coming
at the end of December
