Truth or Lies

the only choices

Truth cannot exist

for those living with lies

No matter how hard

any prevaricator tries

Not sharing the blame

is the sign of a lie

There is no hope for liars

who don't even know why

Bending the truth

for your own gain

Will come back to haunt you

again and again

Try being up front

and see how it feels

You will win every time

there will be no appeals

Living and sharing

the truth we must use

It will solve most problems

without an excuse

Not thinking this way

we cause us all to fail

Over the fiscal cliff

where there is no rail

Stupidity is the cause

as we will all soon learn

We are as guilty as they are

an electorate with little concern
