The Human Animal

The Human Animal

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

we love or is weak

"
Humans hate to agree
how animal like they are
Very genetically related
with their behavior by far

They look to the strongest
to control their herd
The strongest sound wins
and becomes the leader bird

Youth plays an important part
with wisdom meaning less
What the winner will then do
is still anyone's guess

For humans it is four years
to choose a stronger one
But no one knows the future
with the one that won

All contenders had money backing
their pacs told the most lies
Humans look to the money
for their jobs and loudest cries

Most believe that their group
will give them what they need
But this seldom happens
due to the leader's greed

What do the masses then do
to win the vote the next time
They try to show the last leader
wasn't solving some crime

A good solution to this problem
is to work well and learn
How you take care of yourself
should be your primary concern
