Quiet

Quiet

A Poem by Sam Freeland
"

try it

"
The brain listens to everything
trying to understand the sound
Actions can then be started
solutions to problems be found

Sound is too often confusing
quiet gives time to think
When most of the time it is quiet
memory can act quick as a wink

We know the value of memory
we need to give the brain a chance
It tells us what to do so often
answering questions with a glance

Random noise is a hindrance
library quiet the brain needs
Gardens grow with no sound
made by the developing seeds

When a tree falls in the forest
sound the brain didn't need to hear
Memory possesses the sound
knowing what happened is clear

If you want to write intelligently
you should avoid audible noise
Your task is more important
than someone playing with toys

This poem is an excellent example
I needed quiet in order to write
If you like the sound of noise
go and watch two people fight

Thank you for being so quiet
because now the poem is done
You can make all the noise you want
I hope you will be having fun
