THAT WHICH CAN NEVER BE EXPLAINED

THAT WHICH CAN NEVER BE EXPLAINED

A Poem by SaltOfTheEarth

Say a prayer for me, I'm going to need it in the future.
I've loosened the sutures.
Now, I need to work on the knot of this noose.
So, I hang my head for air.
It's getting a little hard to breathe in here.
Maybe we should open a window and watch all of our understanding reappear.

Are we all just part of the unknown?
Are we all just made from the dust of stars that came before?
Someone explain that which can never be explained.
And I'll just sit here with my hands folded in half and patiently wait.
Let the answers come as they may.

How can I convince anyone of anything or everything?
It's conceited to think that I could change anyone's point of view.
But, I dare you to question life.
I know, it's getting a little hard to breathe in here.
Maybe we should open the doors to our heart, our mind.
Watch the fear melt away and disappear.
