Battlefield

Battlefield

A Poem by Maan
"

It got to be this way when you go for a war against your own self.

"
My heart is a battlefield,
where I am up against myself,
fighting since I know the truth,
since I know the reason to exist,

Everything is perfect for me to fit in,
still I have no place to call home,
everyone I meet is so solemn,
still I am alone and scared

I disgrace my own wings,
I torture on my own self,
I chock on my own blood,
I cry on your sins,

I feed Satan everyday,
I bury my angels every night

Strings straighten up when I let go,
I get tangled when I care,
I am confused one last time,
for this session of letting go the pain,

Beginning of a new war is near,
So I have only few nights to clean
my blood off the battlefield,
the ego I spread to claim it.

It'll keep happening like this,
more and more fashionably,
the story of unknown battlefield,
which was once mine..... mine.

Author's Note

Maan
It is so hard to fight against your own self, and it gets worst when you try not to care about the fight, you get confused the worst possible way and then there's no way you can get out of it without getting hurt. And there's no one to help, there can not be anyone.

Battlefield

First off, please make sure your writings are in the right time frame. (I. e. “My heart is a battlefield, where I am up against myself, fighting since I (have) know(n) the truth, since I (have) know(n) the reason to exist, “
Second; “everyday” should be two words. (Everyday is an adjective that means commonplace, ordinary, or normal. Every day means "each day.")
Third: this peace is very emotional, full off visions, and insightful for the reader. You have put a lot of time into the story. With a few quick edits this would make a great read.

Yeah sometimes we do have to fight within our selves. Nice job!

I absolutely love the imagery and metaphors! Particularly in the stanzas 4-5 - could read those over and over again. But overall, it's a brilliant write and a great read.

When you're up against yourself, to win means to survive, so consider yourself a victor. And keep fighting.

That's one evil heart, ... but I completely understand! I got the message crystal clear! Nice Job! :) ;) Keep up the good work!

It's a cry of heart filled with darkness . Like someone wants to get house of a dark house but can't find the door. Intense and powerful.

I hope you will be victorious in the end against the forces of darkness...Bravo

This is pretty depressed. I mean, you can't find a right place for your heart, and you're thinking too much, your heart is thinking too much, feeling too much, and it all turns to grey because it's the only way. But I like it. Thanks for sharing. :D

I'm sorry you feel that way... Nice poetry by the way. I am kinda going through the same situation.

Not really much to say about what I am or anything about me. Its like I've never find myself in the spheres of something and something not, I always wander somewhere in between them, all I get is the .. more..
