PoisonA Story by SallyIn 6th grade art, we had to make a creature out of plaster and wire etc. and then make a story to go with it so this is my story! :]]
Poison Once upon a time in a far away lane and a long ago era, there was a small rather loud town and a big castle where a princes and a castle guard lived. Although the town was small there were children running and screaming and playing games everywhere, adults selling crops and baskets in small kiosks with large signs on them advertising the goods they were selling. There was a huge wall surrounding the castle and its town. One day Jeff, the royal castle guard, and Jenna, the only Princess of the land, came to the King and “Hello Sir,” Jeff said bowing, “Jenna and I have come to you asking your permission to go to A thoughtful look came across the Kings face, almost as if he was going to say yes but instead he said, “As much as I would like to gratify your wishes young Jeff, I cannot allow my only daughter to travel across such dangerous waters. Those waters are infested with sharks, whales, pirates, giant waves, storms the size of this castle, and so many other things, I couldn’t count. So, absolutely not.” “But Sir! I-“Jeff started to protest. “I said no!” The King bellowed across the room. Irate and nearly smoldering with rage, Jeff turned on his heel and stalked out of the room, Jenna in tow, trying to calm him down. Later that night, Jeff slipped out of his room and into the Kings chambers. He carried a vile, containing a small amount of poison. He poured it into the kings’ glass and mixed it until it was dissolved. He watched as the King woke up, as the King took a drink, and as he died. He spat something at the King in French that probably meant something like, “This was inevitable. You had it coming big guy…” Just then the Queen awoke from her slumber; she gasped as she say the pained look in her dead husbands’ eyes, “HELP! HELP!” She screamed. Castle guards rushed in almost instantly. Jeff slipped out of the room, as the castle guards tried to save the King. He ran as fast as his legs would carry him, his whole body filled to the brim with rapture of a job well done. “Jenna!” He hissed as he entered his room. She had been waiting there for him to return. “I’m right here. I’m ready.” She said picking up two rather small bags, a purple one hers, and a black one his. Each one of them contained three extra shirts and pants for Jeff, and three extra dresses for Jenna, and a hair brush for Jenna and a comb for Jeff. They also had four rolls of bread that they had stolen right off of the pan as they ran out the door. They ran through the hallways and reached the stables in about five minuets. Ten minuets later they walked out of the stables, Jeff on the back of a purple Pegasus, and Jenna on a tatinal with red wings, brown shell and green body. Both animals looked quite confused, of course not knowing what was going on they had a good reason to be .They both took off into the air just as castle guards came bursting into the court yard. Days later, with little food and water left they stopped. “Jeff, we need more food and water. Go find some please.” She said. He nodded and wandered off with the Pegasus. It was dark, cold, and scary when Jenna started getting worried. Jeff had not returned yet, and Jenna was terrified thinking of all the horrific things that could have happened to him. A bear could have attacked him, he could have been shot. He could be lying on the cold hard ground with a broken arm, or leg, or even worse, a broken neck. She lay awake for hours before she could finally clear her mind enough to fall asleep. Two more days passed without any sign of Jeff. She had spent a whole day in the air looking for him, through night and day, the tatinal using its night vision during night time. Jenna had moved from place to place looking for him on the ground, and had eventually found the coast line. Another two days passed, and Jeff had still not returned. She decided, after two near death experiences with sharks that she was going home. She hopped into to the tatinal and started home. It took her three days to reach her home in the castle. One day, while she was flying through the air, she heard cries of pain. She recognized the voice immediately as Jeffs'. She dove toward the ground and as soon as she got two feet on the ground she went to meet Jeff. He had been caught in a hunters trap for quite sometime. The area where the rope was around his ankle was bright red and bleeding, his head, the deepest shade of red, and he was flailing around trying to untie himself. She cut him down from the tree, and he told her about how when he had gone to get food he had accidentally stepped in a hunters trap. They made there way back to the castle. As soon as they stepped into the town, they were caught and brought to the thrown room, where the Queen sat with her newly married King, the prince from the neighboring kingdom. Jenna was greeted by a lavish feast, everyone throwing beautiful homemade garlands of flowers around her neck. Delectable food covered the table tops, leaving barley enough room for plates, glasses, and silverware. After the feast a trial was held as to whether or not Jeff was responsible for the Kings poisoning. He was convicted guilty and sentenced to death. He died a long slow death the following afternoon. © 2009 SallyAuthor's Note
