The Election

Another poem in 6th grade English!

 Although I have a say

In this election

My vote going for Obama

I do not care!

 

It’s on the news every second of the day.

Every time I walk through the door.

It’s like a spore epidemic knocking on your door.

 

So many propositions

So many choices

It’s all so confusing

So much so we don’t even know, so many transitions.

 

McCain is kind of old, like mold growing in the hold.

But Obama less experienced, like a new shiny penny.

 

McCain fought in the war.

While Obama had a ‘fro.

McCain, Naval Academy grad, Bottom  class.

Obama and his wife graduated from Harvard

 

Overall in this election, I guess

I’m more sided toward Obama the one to lead us, hopefully, toward change.
