Black Hole In The Screen

I'm afraid that our digital world
in this current time
has lost all its good will
and resorted to crime

It isn't just stealing
but people we injure
since hatred consumes us
so it is pain that we conjure

Just another screen name
saying they are right
they argue so proudly
so surely they're right

"You are worthless,"
the first girl, she wrote
you make me so sick
I want to cut out your throat

The other girl replied,
"How dare you say that?"
well, let me just tell you
today you looked fat

Both were at home
drowning in insecurities
they lashed out at each other
noting each impurity

Make-up makes a mask
on the face of the other
the first thinks she's too big
to be loved by another

The hardest part
I'm sad to say
both of these women
died that day

I bet you didn't think
stuff like this could hurt
their souls now lay broken
buried deep in cyber dirt 

Don't say such words
ones hateful and mean
You might want to rethink
what you write on that screen.
