Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher

A Poem by Salahian Dame

Laying on my bed, clutching for the breath,
Choking like on gallows, squeezing on my larynx,
Feelings are unpleasant, like I've f*****g breathed in,
All the damn sand around egyptian sphinx.

Going through my mouth again, getting in my lungs,
Through my breath it's going in, it is happening again,
You could think of bad things, you can think of ghastly songs,
But nothing like this, nothing's so plain.

They say that it's an allergy, and it strikes me hard,
We're fighting like a kickboxers, striking each other down,
Even if I were to cut every tree, every single sprout,
Still I'll be her personal target, still I'll be her clown.

Who will wake up in the morning, early
Choking like on gallows, coughing like a train,
Just when I thought that t'will not happen, surely
It happened this morning, it happened again.

Author's Note

Salahian Dame
Plain in this context means unlovely, unattractive.
