Blood

Blood

A Poem by ScarlettTheDreamer
"

A sword's confession

"
These lands where I have slayed many souls
How high and mighty and proud they lay!
The blood has vanished leaving no moles,
Even though the memories stay.

What deadly sin have I undertaken?
Is it not you who handled me?
In what deed have I mistaken?
Now why see me fearfully?

I have killed the weak and tortured the poor
But never once wished to do so!
Yet their pain and their cries I bore,
You threw me away, where shall I go?

When making me you kindly cared
And shaped me to utter perfection.
But now only destruction is bared
And after the war I'm subject to rejection.

When oh when will you ever learn
That violence is never right?
Only with love and patience can you earn
A splendid future that is good and bright.

I have touched the gates of heaven and hell
In your hands I have tasted death
But now my fame has slipped and fell
To a mere predator with an evil breath...

Oh, wow. True poetry; this is so well written. It doesn't seem like you were just rhyming words, you have expressed so much.

This reminds me so much of my home country Scotland. I love it, when I read I only thought of home. The historical and epic battles fought on the fields there. When Robert The Bruce and William Wallace once clashed with the English generals. But also I can see it as the battle field within ourselves as everyday we fight a war between Good vs Evil inside

Wow. Amazing! This is beautiful. To me, it seems as though you are talking about someone creating this person for a war or some sort of battle in which they were created for killing, but somehow didn't work out as they had planned and now wishes to change.

It's great! It's like the student teaching the master a lesson in life. Keep up the great work! :D

For some reason, this reminds me of the story of Achilles. The rise to fame, the slaying of many souls, and the subsequent redemption and remorse...I love it...and the fact that you have Link as the picture makes it that much cooler. :D

About
Hi! I am a crazy dreamer. I write simply because I love it. I believe that there's really no meaning to life, and its stupid to go about finding one. One day you're here, one day you're gone. One day .. more..
