Desire

A woman sings to her beloved what she truly desires.

You can give me the rainbow,
But their colors will fade away
You can give me the white snow,
But they will melt one day.

You can sing me a sweet song,
With rhytms and tunes and notes
It will die as we sing along
Even though now it floats.

You can give me the starlight,
Twinkling on the skies
But when the moon sets after the night,
They are gone without the lies.

You can call me your sweet dream,
And hug me close to you
But though everlasting this might seem,
This could disappear too.

So why not give your sweetheart
What she desires the most now,
Come to me and never part
And be true to your love...

This is beautiful! I love poems that rhyme. And yours had a sort of soothing effect to it. It wasn't labored, and the poem seemed to flow from the heart. And it is always a sight to behold when poetry flows from the heart!
