I Owe it to Night

I Owe it to Night

A Poem by Saki

Out of your hands

and into mine

A twist of life

an overdrive

sudden as it was

As strange and as nice

It shackled my world

It left me in fright

Meaning is found

A riddle solved

A mystery,

concluded well

As clarity is

Eventually seen

Towards the end

Of uncertainty

At that moment

unexpected

it did began

all fell in place

With my hand in yours

Our rhythm as one

Hand in hand, all odds

we will soon defy

That fateful turn

My life began

A whole new world

A whole new light

Coincidences

Then they seem to be

Now I learned, at times

Life does try to scheme

Though the sun shines down

Brighter it seems

Still, I owe it to night

Where I learned to dream

Fin’lly, With you,

All doubts whithered

All fears surpassed

No need to wonder anymore

I have found my heart.
