Lean On Me

Lean On Me

A Poem by Saki

It’s Sunday night

When I first looked in your eyes

You’re sitting there

Crying your heart out

I never knew

That’s when our path’ll intertwine

But I guess that’s just how

Destiny works

From then on I knew

You will stay

At that same night

When I saw you crying there

I pat your back

You look up at me

I told you, “shh...”

“Everything’s soon gonna be fine”

You pour your heart on me

I listened eagerly

It all started there

When we’re five

Lean on me

When everything gets twisted

Lean on me

When the world turns back on you

Lean on me

I’m here for you to cry on

And laugh with

I promise you we’ll always be friends

Best of friends

From pre-school to college

We’ve lean on each other

You have become a part of me

And I, a part of you

Problems come our way

Forgiveness is the key

But now we have to part lives

It is so hard for both of us

But still you can…

Lean on me

When everything gets twisted

Lean on me

When the world turns back on you

Even if

We’re far from each other

I’ll still be here

I promise you we’ll still be

Best of friends...
