Away From Judging Eyes

Away From Judging Eyes

A Poem by Saki

People think I’m invincible

People think I’m too strong

People think so high of me

Their expectations so high

I couldn’t reach

People look up to me so much

For something I haven’t even done

They blinded themselves

With a lie, a lie, a lie

Look at me

Deep down

Sink low

To the bottom of my heart

Stare at me

Really do

Locate within

In the bottom of my heart

There are friends

Who think they know you

There are some

Who think they know much more

Some loved you for fame

Power, authority, prestige

Look at me

Deep down

Sink low

To the bottom of my heart

Stare at me

Really do

Locate within

In the bottom of my heart

Who I am inside

Who I am

When nobody’s watching

Who I am

When I am by myself

Who I am

Who I am inside

Who I am

The person within me

Only I really know

Stare at me

Really do

Locate within

In the bottom of my heart

The real me...

What a powerful flow of thoughts and feelings, revealing just a glimpse at the depth of you... the depth of each of us... So much that can never be seen.. so much that is misunderstood. Excellent write that asks us to take a moment to listen and try to understand just a bit more...

In the end. We must like the person in the mirror. A outstanding poem. Description and the story in your words are very good.
