Maybe Could I

Maybe Could I

A Poem by Aki
"

It could be backwards and confusing at times..

"

Should I believe you?
Can I believe you?
You say you love me,
I'm just not sure.
Distance goes a long way
Day by day,
I trust even less of what you say.
You are my love
Am I yours?
I held your heart
I can't see it anymore
Slipping away,
Standing; looking dumbfounded
I wonder, should I cry?
Life could be so easy.
Without you,
Is it worth it?
Promises were made,
My heart was given a name.
'Sanchez' whispers the pulsing veins.
Thirteen months,
Am I making a mistake?

Doubt can kill us if we let it. Or it might be our savings grace. To second guess our actions might be bring golden moments or maybe it might put us in the mud.
I liked this piece! It delved into aspects of the human thought process everytime a hard decision is made. The feelings that roll through on this one are acceptional as relationship choices are always the most difficult and predict how a choice may affect everything down the road.

Great Piece!
