monkey

monkey

A Poem by Shannon
"

they're very scary

"

Jing…

         Jing…

Jing…

         Jing…

You sit there silently
Mocking me
Never blinking
Always smiling

Jing…

         Jing…

Jing…

         Jing…

I dread when the time comes
Sitting in the corner you stare
The darkness of night comes
I hide under my covers every night

Jing…

         Jing…

Jing…

         Jing…

Even your stupid hat mocks me
Your little yellow vest
Can you really hurt me
Sitting up on the corner shelf

Jing…

         Jing…

Jing…

         Jing…

Ohh my god, finally someone who understands the dangers of monkeys. Well... actually, I'm more concerned with the 'ape threat', but monkeys are like their cousins so I'm sure they're in on it too.

Anyway, on to the poem. I liked it, the 'jing jing' thing works very well here.

'Never blinking
Always smiling'

Anything that does that is automatically added to my creepy list XD

Nice job, keep writing.
