Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by Saint

All I want is freedom.
 Freedom from fear,
 freedom from pain,
 freedom from worry about tomorrow and the next day and the next 50 years.
 Freedom for hurt,
 freedom from destruction,
 freedom from perfection and a feeling of living up to people's expectations.
I have the knowledge of it, I have the actuality of it --
 but I haven't felt it in so long, that I can't begin to remember it.
I feel like you're listening without hearing;
 comprehending without understanding.
And I feel like I'm just going in circles
 so I give up trying to explain it.

I search for some of these more than others. I think a life completely devoid of fear and hurt would be just as awful as a life filled with it. And it'd get boring after a while. This is short and sweet, but still manages to bring your point across well. I'm under the impression you feel trapped and just want to break out of the mental/physical restraints and be free.
