Bend and Turn the BillsA Poem by SaintCoryI WRITE WORDS DOWN YA?Oh, to be hopelessly in love with a world that you know, for all intents and purposes, can't find it in itself to love you back. I mean, it doesn't hurt, you're not shocked or anything. And you don't stop trying either, because you cannot be convinced completely that there is no chance whatsoever that the trees and water and concrete and life will return you a favor. Since there seemingly is no other reason to live other than to live, why not keep looking for it? I'm operating on two different frequencies. Two different parts of my brain fighting for different things and and looking and watching and biting and kicking each other and myself because it's the same thing. The things that make me sad also make me calm and what rests heavy in my palm isn't my own heart, it's yours but not from your body; and oddly not mine either, or that of another lover, that'd you rather have than me, and I'm scared, I'm scared, because as alone as I am- someone is missing it and we are responsible. © 2011 SaintCory |
