Frosted Heart

Short & to the point - rough edit - to be worked but can't get back in it or figure it out right now. Suggestions welcomed.

Frosted Heart

When darkness falls each night

I realize my hopeless plight

But look to the stars

And pray with all my might

I've begun to dread those stars

That once shone yellow for us two

I sing and cry for you

Under the pale moon

Your absence can’t change me

Even with storms all around

I long for your smile

But new love must be found

The permafrost is setting

Ice snow and bitter cold

My heart is forgetting

But I refuse to grow old

In this line:
But look to the stars
I think you need and "I", between "but" and "look". I couldn't find other mistakes. I really like the determined feeling you put into this poem, that even if you loose someone you shouldn't change who you are. And I also like the last lines, It makes me think of when you have a bad moment in life, but that doesn't mean you have to leave it in the past. Every good and bad thing that happens to us is part of who we are.
