Such a cruel end

For a careful man

The drunk that killed you

Wasn't part of the plan

 

Why then? Why there?

Misfortunes all aligned

The night you died

That had just begun

Wow, I really love poems that tell a stories even though this one is sad, you told a lot about the persons involved in the story and especially how the one who is telling it feels about what happened. The structure and the rhyming makes sound great out loud.
