Loneliness

Loneliness

A Poem by Mea Andrews
"

There was a time in my life when I felt very alone. No one wanted me and I was going through a very tough time with life and my mother.

"

Loneliness
Dark, Hollow
Unmoving, Impenetrable, Pitiless
Waiting for light
Forsaken

I do poetry rarely, are there any issues with this Cinquain form?

No one was immune to this . Even the Psalmist King David felt the sting of it when he penned these words " I have become a sparrow alone on the roof top "
King David felt alone forsaken and depressed . If prozac had been available then we won't have psalms to read now ...

I don't write to any particular form, so I hate to say it, but the fourth line should have four words. "Waiting for the/some light" perhaps?

I am unhappy with myself for being so picky...

As to content, I like it. In my own life I found passively waiting for light never works - I waited for years. Actively searching for light tends to get more results.
