Hope and Doubt

Hope and Doubt

A Poem by Sailor Bookworm

Torn between hope and doubt
Should I hope for love,
Or learn to live without?
Is it time to dream,
Or to put dreams aside?
Once I start to dream
I’m never satisfied.
If I cease to dream
I cease to be alive.
I dream of freedom
From the doubt inside.
I hope for change
In the world I’m in.
But, if I speak of change,
Then I dream again.
