LossA Poem by Sai kiranThe sun rose in the east Realization dawned upon me as a
beast Life has been sad but now it’s unknown We realize a thing’s value when
its gone None other than the soul can explain
this drought When you have something, you
don’t care But when it’s gone, its
absence fills with despair You care But now you can’t show You think to take a stand But you but you must bow You start living with memories Reading torn and old pages of
diaries You think and realize That the lost thing was nothing
less than golden prize But you missed And sadness kissed Your life and hugged it tight Happiness became a shadow in the
bright Only sorrows grew And you knew There will be a mirage of
happiness again And the darkness will prevail. © 2017 Sai kiranAuthor's Note
