Fading/Crossing Lines

Fading/Crossing Lines

A Poem by Amanda Granger
"

Things fall apart.

"
Everything's shredding
Fading at the seams
Unaligned and disinclined
To make it out alright
Or so it seems
I feel the coldness
In the space between
The place you should be
And me, and you're too tired
To make it right, too tired
Of me to make sure I'm okay
Things will sort themselves out
Or so you say, but I can't be swayed
I can't believe in things
I cannot see, forced to bear
Their intangible transparency
Like the line between us
Our hearts losing shape
Breaking, disconnecting
Shredding, fading
Falling apart
One last time.
