You are My favorite Poetry (part 1)

Dedicated to my greatest inspiration. :)

You cover every page of purple prose I write
Every corner of this room, every object touched
Your essence left, my life illuminated by your light.
What would I be without you in my life?

An empty photo album, pictures all cut out
Faces missing, plans changed, dreams crossed out,
None of this happiness and sometimes sadness too
Could ever have existed without your presence, you,

Who fills my thoughts with all these pieces of poetry
And knows how to love, even lacking the best of me
And smiles everyday and cries sometimes the same,
Yet shudders and croons as you whisper my name.

My life cut into fragments, traces of threads all bare
Would be the pages of poesy without you in them
The sun would not rise in the West if you weren't there
And all laughter forgotten by jokes left unsaid.

Beyond your light and shadow I feel blank
Without the new spirit breathed into my lungs
I know not where I’d go, what riverbed or bank
I’d wash up on, some alien shore, but I dare not dream

These phantom, empty dreams and risk turning them
Into a prophesy uttered or daylight consumed
Without sense or purpose; better to remain within
Present moments of bliss than let them slip away

Unpublished; unfulfilled, without the meaning
Of the purpose buoyant love bestows
Seamless, unseeming, beyond replacement
Or excision from the poetry of my life.
